enhancing School Climate & Culture
We've come a long way in building a non-stigmatizing environment of belonging and connection in our schools, and there is still room for growth. We must continue providing an excellent range of mental health supports and advocating for a school culture that fosters both independence and inclusivity, safety and spontaneity.
Closing achievement & Opportunity Gaps
Working with data-driven analysis and an equity lens, it's essential that we persevere in identifying and embracing policies and practices that create pathways for ALL of our students to succeed.
expanding High-Quality Programs & Curricular development
Our broad spectrum of students requires a broad spectrum of curricula, and curricula that speak to our current world. With programing that supports everything from career tech education to AP coursework to the liberal arts, we will launch our kids with an extensive range of skillsets and pathways to success.
STrategic Fiscal Planning & Preparedness
AUHSD is the lowest funded high school district in the state. How we use these limited funds, alongside community donated dollars is critical, all the more so now as we face declining funding. Strategically identifying, implementing and managing the financial initiatives of our schools is paramount, and knowing the programming of our schools inside and out is truly a prerequisite to making the demanding decisions of how to best use our resources.
